Goldwork An introduction to Metal Thread Embroidery

Class Description: This hands-on workshop serves as a beginner’s introduction to the world of goldwork hand embroidery – no prior experience necessary! Students will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a a variety of metal threads – learning where different materials might be applicable and which textures they like. We will also step through the fundamentals of beginner-friendly goldwork, including using padding, pearl purl, and bright check chipwork.
