Intro to Indigo Shibori – Sunday 8:30am
Class Description: In this class you’ll learn about the natural dyeing and historical practice of Indigo Shibori dyeing. We will show you how to mix your “mother batch” of dye, talk about the process of Shibori and the history of Shibori art. We will then learn 3 folding techniques for you to use on your 2 Flour Sack tea towels. Then you will dye your tea towels to take home with you.

Class Length: 3 hours
Class Kit: $55, will include 2 Flour Sack Tea Towels with hook loops, Rubber Bands and Clothes pins for designs, Rubber Cloves, Full Instruction Pamphlet and Video Tutorial. Indigo will be provided for class pre-mixed, but available for purchase if you’d like to take some home with you to do again.
Other Supplies Needed (To be brought by the student): Apron, Smock or Coveralls to keep clothes from being dyed
Age Restriction: Any person between the age of 8-10 must be supervised by an adult at all times & share the same project with an adult during classes. Children (non-adult tickets) are available to any person between the age of 8 and 17.
