Zip Away Tote
Class Description: The Zip Away Tote, a pattern from byGeorge, was born out of the desire to always have an extra bag on hand and to be able to have it tucked away in my purse or my car. In this class, students will learn how to create their own Zip Away Tote utilizing a separating zipper, and have access to additional options for future makes.
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: A zipper will be placed on a curve
Class Length: 2.5 hours
Class Kit: $60, will include precut cork and cotton woven materials, cotton webbing, separating zipper with zipper pull, and lobster claw clasp. ALSO includes: .pdf/projector patterns, with access to written and video step by step tutorials
Other Supplies Needed (To be brought by the student): Domestic Sewing Machine, Small Ruler, Fabric Marker/Pencil, Scissors/Snips/Pinking Shears, 80/12, 90/14 or Heavy Duty Needle, Neutral Color Thread, Pins/Clips, Lighter
Age Restriction: Any person between the age of 8-10 must be supervised by an adult at all times & share one machine with an adult during classes. Children (non-adult tickets) are available to any person between the age of 8 and 17.
