Basic Sewing Kit includes:

- Basic things needed to cut (small snips, fabric scissors, rotary cutter, etc)
Majority of classrooms will have 1-2 cutting mats, rulers (Sponsored by Off the Wall Quilt), 1-2 irons, 1-2 wool pressing mat

A Case to Hold your Goodies

Class Description: Learn to do 5D Diamond Art in this fun class with Amy from Uniquely Crafts! In the class you will be putting beads onto letters or number to bedazzle the front cover of the case There will be 2 maybe 3 different cases to pick from. Most people use the cases to put their pens or pencils in or small sewing material in (needles, seam rippers, etc).
Class Kit: $17, will include all materials needed.

All About Patches – Texas Edition
Teacher: Connie, Creations by Connie Embroidery Designs!
Day/Time: Friday 11:30 AM-1 PM- 1.5 hours
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: Familiar with and understanding of sewing machine you will be using. Understanding of basic hooping, threading, and have stitched prior to class.
Class Description: Class will be from start to finish of one patch. They will learn step by step directions on how to complete the patch along with the properties of how they are made.
Project done in class will differ than image shown here.
Class Kit: Cost $7, will include design and materials needed

Beginner Embroidery
Teacher: Jacki, ElliaJacksford Embroidery
Day/Time: Friday 5:15 PM-8 PM – 3 hours

Class Description: This class will walk you step by step through the fundamentals of machine embroidery. We will discuss various stabilizers, techniques, stitch types and projects, machine hacks, helpful tools, and so much more! We will apply the lessons learned and practice stitching various projects! This class is part presentation, part hands-on. Topics will cover: types of stabilizer, float vs hoop, fabric selections for embroidery, Fill/Sketch vs Applique vs ITH, Types of threads, Color Changes, Embroidery software for merging designs, Machine hacks, tools to help, scissors, and selling items. Three projects will be made and completed in class.
Class Kit: Cost $27; includes all designs shown, felt, vinyl, hardware for earring, and stabilizer. Designs will be sent to you at least 1 week prior to SME; please have them pre-loaded onto your machine for the class.
Supplies Needed: Embroidery Machine, 4X4 hoop, Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, Embroidery Thread, pre-wound bobbins (recommend 5), jewelry pliers (optional). If you are unable to bring your embroidery machine, you’re welcome to come and learn! You will still receive a class kit to take home with you and stitch what you learned in class.
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 12 must have adult on same project

Beginner Sewing Lessons (Ages 8-99)

Class Description: Learn how to properly thread and use a sewing machine. Choose between several fun beginner sewing projects! First time sewists Ages 6+ are welcome. Projects include: an Apron, Tote Bag with pocket, or various unique pillows (Pizza, Pokeball, Emoji, or Letter.)
Class Kit: $32, Will include all pre-cut pattern pieces and accessories needed for each
project. Fabric colors and designs will vary. You will have the option to choose your fabric in class, as
well as adult or child sizes.
Supplies Needed: Basic Sewing Machine
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, kids and adult beginner sewists alike are welcome! Kids are welcome to participate without a parent/guardian.

CanCan Organizer
Teacher: Julie, Off The Wall Quilt
Day/Time: Sunday 2-4 PM – 2 hours
Skill Level: Appropriate for anyone who can sew a “nearly” straight stitch with a sewing machine.
Required Skills: Familiar with sewing machine you will be using in class
Class Description: It’s a fun and easy project that makes great gifts or even a great item to sell at craft shows. The kits will contain pre-cut pieces so that you can focus on sewing and assembly, but you’ll also receive a full pattern so that you can make it again later. The organizer can stand alone but works even better over a 28/29 ounce can like tomatoes or pumpkin come in. Everything included in the kit except for the can.
Class Kit or Materials: Cost $22; will include Can-Can pattern, all fabric & stabilizer cut to size for one Can-Can Organizer
Supplies Needed: Sewing machine with thread, needle and bobbin (wound). Any neutral or wildly colorful thread is fine. Scissor or snips for trimming threads. Bring a 28/29 ounce can to finish your project or get one later at home.
Age Restriction: This class is not really appropriate for children under 14 unless they have plenty of experience sewing already (there’s one spot where we’ll hold our breath, tap our heals together and stick out our tongues). If under 12, there must be an adult on the same project.

Catalina Crossbody Convertible Bag
Teacher: Tammy Pham, Weft + Warp Co
Day/Time: Sunday 10 AM-1 PM – 3 hours
Skill Level: Intermediate
Required Skills: Sewing straight lines and curves, zipper installation, binding, managing thick seams
Class Description: The Catalina by Oro Rosa Patterns is a versatile bag that comes with various options. It can be worn as a crossbody, a belt bag, or a sling on either side of the body. In this class, we will be making a simplified version by replacing the card slots with a different pocket and using webbing for the strap.
This class will be in the Industrial machine room, sponsored by Sunny Sewing Machines!
Class Kit: $79, will include the pdf pattern, precut and interfaced materials from Weft + Warp Co. with double sided tape pre-applied, 2x swivel clasps, zipper tape and pull, 4x D-rings, rivets, a strap adjuster, webbing, exclusive label.
You will be sewing on a straight stitch industrial sewing machine. Thread, needles, and bobbin will also be provided for you to use during this class.
Supplies Needed: Sewing clips, snips, scissors, a 1×6 ruler or similarly sized
Age Restriction: Due to the use of industrial sewing machines, only ages 16+ are able to take this class.

Chill Pill Crochet Plushie
Teacher: Kat Schmidt, Oliver Hart Designs
Day/Time: Saturday 8:30-10:30 AM – 2 hours
Skill Level: Beginner
Required Skills: Basic Crochet skills are preferable but not required.
Class Description: Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. You’ll learn basic amigurumi techniques including: a magic circle, single crochet, invisible increase, and invisible decrease stitches.
Class Kit: $22, will include pdf pattern, crochet hook set, yarn needle, custom stitch marker, snips, practice yarn, blanket yarn, poly-fil, and safety eyes

Circle Skirt Basics
Teacher: Jenn Richardson, Little Ragamuffin: Patterns & Fabrics
Day/Time: Sunday 8-10 AM – 2 hours
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: Basic beginner level sewing knowledge, familiar with sewing knit (stretch) fabrics, confident with straight & ziz-zag stitches, sewing with a serger is not required but recommended.
Class Description: Students will learn how to draft, cut, and assemble a basic knit circle skirt without a pattern. We will be using body measurements to create the pattern. Students will attach their skirt to a knit waistband or Bonnie top, sewn in the previous class.
Class Kit: $37, 2 yd fabric students will pick 2 one-yard pieces in class, 1 ball point knit needle 75/11 (these work with most standard machines as well as the brother 1034d serger)
Supplies Needed: Serger is preferred, however a Basic Sewing Machine with a stretch/zig-zag stitch will work. Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, your measurements (waist, hip, and waist to knee), download the circle calc app, thread (recommended maxi lock stretch for serger loopers, and all purpose thread for the needles)
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 12 must have adult on same project and kit

Clear Printed Vinyl Travel Pouch
Teacher: Fran Brown, FAB Designs
Day/Time: Friday 2-3:30 PM- 1.5 hours
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: Familiar with and understanding of the sewing machine you will be using.
Class Description: You will work with clear printed vinyl to make a Travel Pouch perfect for storing your 3oz liquids for your airline carry on. You will learn how to insert a zipper and box the corners. This is a great class if you want to learn some basic bag making techniques.
Class Kit: $22, will include all materials needed and printed step by step instructions. Vinyl and zipper color may differ from photo.
Supplies Needed: Sewing machine (preferably a straight stitch heavy duty machine), machine accessories, power cord, and foot pedal. Feet: pressor foot, narrow or regular zipper foot, teflon foot is a must, and 1/4 foot is optional, (Walking Foot could be helpful if you are not using a straight stitch machine). Size 14 and 16 needles, white and black thread with bobbins to match (Tex 45 thread will be best if you are bringing a straight stitch machine), and tools for your machine.
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 12 must have adult on same project and kit

Cover Me Sweetly Notebook Cover
Teacher: Megan Nixon, Sweetly Unique
Day/Time: Sunday 8-11 AM – 3 hours
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: Familiar with and understanding of sewing machine you will be using and if it has the capability to sew through at least 3 layers of faux leather.
Class Description: I will teach you how to sew my pattern for the Notebook cover that holds up to 2 composition notebooks or a notebook and a planner as well as a detachable pencil pouch that fits perfectly inside. I will also discuss how and when to add an appliqué to your cover, however there will not be enough time to complete a detailed appliqué in this class.
Class Kit: $47, will include fully prepped and ready to sew pieces for a complete cover and pencil case including the zipper tape, pull and all magnets and basic snaps for closure.
Supplies Needed: Basic Sewing Machine, Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, Teflon sewing foot and zipper foot. Thread color to match your kit you will be able to select on my website. If you’d like, a label to sew onto your cover. Scissors to trim threads, seam ripper, double sided sticky tape. Recommend a titanium 100/16 sewing machine needle or other non stick needle that works for your thread thickness.

Creating & Coloring Molds with Pigments & Epoxy
Teacher: Deana Janowsky, AnaSky Creations
Day/Time: Sunday 11 AM- 12:30 PM – 2 hours

Class Description: In the class, you’ll be completing a small mold with fast setting resin. Starting with coloring the mold to enhance design, mixing, coloring, and pouring the epoxy, working to get bubbles out as epoxy begins to set in mold.
Class Kit: Cost $42; will include all items included in kit (quick-set epoxy resin, custom mold, supplies)
Photo shown is the FL SME ’22 design. A special custom mold is in work for TX SME ’23!

Age Restriction: Recommended for ages 16+ due to use of epoxy (chemicals)

Date Nite Crossbody
Teacher: Fran Brown, FAB Designs

Required Skills: Familiar with and understanding of the sewing machine you will be using.
Class Description: You will work with Vinyl and Water Resistant Canvas to make this cute Date Nite Crossbody that was self drafted by the teacher. Learn how to insert a zipper, add a lining, top stitch and box the corners. This is a great class if you want to learn some basic to intermediate bag making techniques.
Class Kit: $37, will include all materials needed except the Crossbody strap, and printed step by step instructions. Vinyl and zipper color may differ from photo.
Supplies Needed: Sewing machine (preferably a straight stitch heavy duty machine) machine accessories, power cord, and foot pedal. EL Lights and Jelly Vinyl
Teacher: Danielle St John, Stitch’N Designs
Day/Time: Friday 10:30 AM-1 PM – 2.5-3 hours
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Required Skills: Basic machine embroidery/appliqué. Hand sewing (insert stitch type) is involved.
Class Description: Let your bag light up the night by learning how to incorporate EL lights into your embroidery/appliqué design. Students will need to complete the bag outside of class, but are welcome to bring everything to finish it at SME.
Class Kit: $20, will include jelly vinyl, EL lights, clear vinyl, batteries, appliqué scissors,
invisible thread, sewing needle (hand sewing), and glitter clips. Masking tape, lighters, and sharpies will be provided in class for shared use.
Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring their own material (Non fraying; WPC/WRC, vinyl). The piece of material should be larger than the desired pattern piece, which will be cut to size after the class. (If unsure of pattern, bring a piece of material large enough that it could accommodate multiple options.) a small/scrap piece of bag foam (roughly 4×8).
If you chose to finish the bag at SME, a 1/2” grommet kit is needed. I’ll bring hammers.
Students will need to decide if they’re using an embroidery or a sewing machine.
–Embroidery students:
*embroidery machine with 5×7 hoop
*tear away stabilizer
*embroidery thread that matches/coordinates with the material being brought to class
and personal preference for the font color),

English Paper Piecing 101
Teacher: Carol Thurston

Class Description: We will be learning the basics of English Paper Piecing (EPP) using hexagons to make a travel tool for EPP. This portable and precise technique will provide you with the ability to create hexagons and sew them together by hand, including proper use of a thimble, enabling you to piece for hours! Learn different methods for putting your hexagons together, how to hide your fabric tails and achieve professional results in your sewing. You will finish the class with the confidence to apply EPP to your favorite patterns.
Class Kit: $32, will include fabric for hexagons, paper pieces, thread, needles, wool, wonder clip, pvc pipe, ribbon, and thread magic
Supplies Needed: Cutting scissors, thimble. If you do not have a thimble, you can come and have one fitted to borrow (or buy) for class at the booth of Thimbles For You.
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 10 must have adult on same project and kit

Falling for Cork Fabric

Class Description: Have you heard everyone sharing their love of cork fabric, but you’re too scared to try it out? Fear no more! Join Jacki Bauman from Ellia Jacksford Designs as she shows you why you’re going to go crazy for cork! Learn what projects work best with cork fabric and why this sustainable material is the perfect choice to use on almost any project. You’ll discuss where to purchase cork, what stabilizers to use, and projects that are made better just by using cork! End the class by stitching out multiple designs discussed in class!
Class Kit: Cost $32, will include multiple designs that work well with cork fabric to include 3 that we will be stitching in class. (Leaf Coaster, Wristband Fob, and Cork Wallet). Designs will be emailed to students 1 week prior to class. All material needed to complete the 3 designs will be included in kit.
Supplies Needed: Embroidery Machine, 5X7 hoop, Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, own embroidery thread selection, at least 5 prewound bobbins, and have designs loaded to machine before coming to class. If you are unable to bring your embroidery machine, you’re welcome to come and learn! You will still receive a class kit to take home with you and stitch what you learned in class.

Felt Cat Toys

Class Description: A perfect way to entertain your furry children, these cat toys are made with durable felt to protect against the murder mittens. They are made with felt and stuffed with catnip, so your cat will love the smell and feel!

Free Standing Lace

Hand Quilting for Beginners
Teacher: Carol Thurston
Day/Time: Saturday 8-11 AM – 3 hours

Class Description: This class will walk you step by step through the fundamentals of hand quilting, including marking, sandwiching, and how to use a thimble. We will discuss various threads, needles, thimbles, techniques, markers, helpful tools, and so much more! There will also be time for “how would you quilt that?” when you can present one of your quilt tops and walk away with quilting ideas.
Class Kit: $17, will include muslin front marked for quilting, backing, batting, thread, needle, thread magic; everything needed to create a 15” square of quilting
Supplies Needed: 10” or 12” hoop, scissors, thimble. If you do not have a thimble, you can come and have one fitted to borrow (or buy) for class at the booth of Thimbles For You.
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 10 must have adult on same project and kit

Headbands!

Class Description: Create a beautiful art quilt using raw edge applique and truly free-motion quilting. Anyone can do it!
Class Kit: $52, will include templates, fusible interfacing, variety of fabrics for appliques, and background fabric
Supplies Needed: Basic Sewing Machine, a clear foot for your machine is helpful but not required, pen or pencil, sharp scissors (available to purchase in class if needed), iron if bringing one anyways
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 10 must have adult on same project and kit

Infinity Scarf 101
Teacher: Jenn Richardson, Little Ragamuffin: Patterns & Fabrics
Day/Time: Sunday 2-4 PM – 2 hours
Skill Level: Beginner
Required Skills: Basic beginner level sewing knowledge, minimally familiar with sewing rib knit, sweater knit, other knit (stretch) fabrics, confident with straight & ziz-zag (knit stitches: triple, lighting bolt, twin needle) stitches, sewing with a serger is recommended, but not required.
Class Description: Students will learn how to cut and sew an infinity scarf using knit fabric.
Class Kit: $37, 2 yd fabric students will pick 2 one-yard pieces in class, 1 ball point knit needle 75/11 (these work with most standard machines as well as the brother 1034d serger)
Supplies Needed: Serger is preferred, however Basic Sewing Machine with a stretch/zig-zag stitch will work. Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, flexible measuring tape.

Introduction to a Color-Blocked Hoodie
Teacher: Jen Gladden, Tiny Tumbleweed Boutique
Day/Time: Friday 8-11 AM – 3 hours
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: All participants must have basic experience working with knit fabrics and/or garment making, as this class will be teaching an alteration of an existing pattern. You have an understanding of seam allowances, how to cut out a pattern, and how to sew a knit fabric. Participants must understand how to sew knits using the machine they choose to bring for class, as there will not be instruction on machines.
Class Description: In this class, you will be learning how to colorblock any pattern. We will all be using the same hoodie pattern and will learn about cutting and piecing fabrics to create one-of-a-kind garments that are great scrap busters and perfect for utilizing pieces of fabric that aren’t large enough to complete a project. You will also learn tips on print/pattern mixing to make your creation really pop. While we hope to complete the entire hoodie in class, the purpose of this class is to teach the color-blocking portion. The shirt style is a relaxed fit. We will be utilizing the Sinclair Nova pattern, which will be available at a discounted price for class participants after sign-up
Class Kit: $72, will include all materials cut out and front bodice pattern piece cut and available for colorblocking.
Supplies Needed: Serger is HIGHLY recommended. If using a domestic sewing machine you must have knowledge of how to sew knits using that machine (i.e. using a stretch stitch, correct needle, correct tension). Rotary cutter or scissors, ruler, cutting mat, clips, coordinating thread, disappearing ink marking tool.
Age Restriction: Ages 13+

Intro to Swimwear with Ragamuffin Patterns
Teacher: Mariah Morales, Sew Reina Swimwear & Jenn Richardson, Little Ragamuffin
Day/Time: Friday 3:45-5:45 PM – 2 hours
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Required Skills: This class will require students to know how to use, thread, and adjust settings on their serger machine.
Class Description: This class will be an introduction to the basics of sewing reversible & seamless swimwear for adventurous sewers who have little or no experience sewing swimwear!
Class Kit: $82, will include solid swim fabric for lining (will be precut in the size selected), fat half of custom swim fabric (selected by student during the class), tube turner, (2) 90/14 needles, several yards swim elastic, Sweetcheeks & Sweetheart Top paper pattern from Little Ragamuffin Patterns precut in the size selected, pdf pattern, and small bag of sewing clips

ITA Window Basics
Teacher: Danielle St John, Stitch’N Designs
Day/Time: Saturday 6:30-8:30 PM – 2 hours
Skill Level: Beginner to Confident Beginner
Required Skills: Basic machine embroidery knowledge
Class Description: Learn how to make an ITA (clear window) design in an embroidery machine or using a sewing machine. Students will receive written instructions and video links on how to turn them into a slip pocket, or zipper pocket. But for the class, they will be turned into a fun picture frame as a cute souvenir.
Class Kit: $17, will include base material (WPC), appliqué scissors, clear vinyl, yellow and orange vinyl for design, picture frame, (pre cut appliqué designs for students not using an embroidery machine). Masking tape and lighters will be provided in class for shared use.
Supplies Needed: Students will need to decide if they’re using an embroidery or a sewing machine.

Let’s Duet – Running Skirt

Class Description: Turning your craft in to a side hustle. Fill a 10 x 10 foot booth with products made entirely in a 5×7 hoop or smaller. Join Jacki Bauman from Ellia Jacksford Designs as she provides you with all the information on how to get started selling your embroidery designs. Learn how to find money making shows, what items are proven sellers, how to set up your booth, and so many more tips and tricks to get you started. Think your hoop size is too small? Think again! All items discussed and stitched out will be made for a 5×7 hoop!
Class Kit: Cost $32, will include multiple designs discussed in class to include the 3 we will be stitching in class. (Wristlet, ID Badge/Pen Holder, and Easter TP Design). Designs will be emailed to students 1 week prior to class. All material needed to complete the 3 designs will be included in kit.
Supplies Needed: Embroidery Machine, 5X7 hoop, Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, own embroidery thread selection, at least 5 prewound bobbins, and have designs loaded to machine before coming to class. If you are unable to bring your embroidery machine, you’re welcome to come and learn! You will still receive a class kit to take home with you and stitch what you learned in class.

Making Persimmon Pouches

Class Description: We will be making the persimmon pouch in small sizes. It comes together quickly with a top zip closure. In this class, we will be working with oil skin and/or wax canvas for the bottom portion of the pouch.
Class Kit: Optional; $30, will include fabrics (including the oil-skin cotton), interfacings, zipper tape, and zipper pulls.
A video of how to cut all items out will be provided if you want to bring your own materials. We will be making the medium persimmon dumpling pouch from Sara Lawson.

On the Fly Leather Pouch

Class Description: In this class we will be sewing a leather pouch on an industrial sewing machine. You will learn basic skiving 101 while also having the hands-on experience of being able to Skive the leather yourself on a skiver.
This class will be in the Industrial machine room, sponsored by Sunny Sewing Machines!
Class Kit: $65, will include pattern, pre-cut leather pieces, interfacing for exterior, #5 Zipper and Zipper Pull, WPC lining (pre-cut), and sewing clips. Photo of product is an example and project in class kit will differ.

Class Description: Want to test drive an industrial sewing machine? Come during this open sewing time, bring your own materials, and test out these amazing machines. Each time slot will be for 1.5 hours and will have a cap due to the limited machines in the room.
This class will be in the Industrial machine room, sponsored by Sunny Sewing Machines!
Class Kit: $8, will include thread, needle, and bobbin only
Supplies Needed: Material to test with or a project of your choosing (vinyls, faux leather, and leathers under 5-6oz are recommended). You’re welcome to bring your own thread too (Tex 70 or 90). Basic sewing and cutting supplies

Class Description: Spray painting is an easy technique that mimics air brushing, but
without the equipment. A great way to change the look of fabric, with no feel to the paint
(watercolor). Then we add the iron on design for that extra touch of embellishment. Both
require no time or talent, but will amaze people that you made it.

Ragamuffin Patterns Bonnie Shirt
Teacher: Jenn Richardson, Little Ragamuffin: Patterns & Fabrics

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate
Required Skills: Intermediate-level sewing knowledge, very comfortable & familiar with sewing knit fabrics (Double Brushed Poly/ Cotton Lycra, Rayon Spandex, etc), confident with straight & ziz-zag stitches (lightning bolt, stretch knit stitches), sewing curves and “V” shaped points, **sewing with a serger is recommended, but not required**
Class Description: Students will learn the basics of garment construction with or without fitted bust cups, how to create a shelf bra lining, and professional finish with elastic. Students will assemble a basic short sleeve Bonnie shirt in class with the options of attaching a circle skirt from the teacher’s circle skirt basics class. Students will choose their size and fabric through a private listing on the teacher’s shop at least 1 month prior to the show.
Class Kit: $77, will include PDF pattern, cut pattern pieces ready to assemble in class, an additional 1.5 yards of fabric (to take home and add a skirt or change sleeves, or do whatever with), elastic to finish shelf bra lining, ball point knit 75/11 needles (these work with most standard machines, as well as, the brother 1034d serger).
Supplies Needed: Serger is preferred, but a Basic Sewing Machine with a stretch/zig-zag stitch will work. Basic Sewing Kit, Basic Cutting Supplies, flexible measuring tape, and thread (recommended maxi lock stretch for serger loopers, and all purpose thread for the needles)

– Scanning functions for cutting appliqués, vinyl, patterns and thin templates

Shibori Indigo Dye Technique – Circle Designs for Bags, Home Decor, & More!
Teacher: Genavieve, The Thunderbird Farm HandCrafted

Required Skills: Having hand strength is helpful for folding & wrapping prep before dying
Class Description: In this class you will learn a brief history of the Shibori Technique, how to make a “mother batch” of dye, and at least 3 Shibori Folding Techniques. Together we will create using 1 of your kit’s fabrics. The Shibori designs we do are just a few you can do using your kit’s acrylic circle template set, clothes pins, and rubber bands. We will discuss the difference between natural dying techniques and tie-dying. Genavieve will showcase various ways to use your fabrics in your sewing projects like bag making, home decor, as well as, ways to level up your craft fair season with unique natural dyed products. When complete you will have at least 1 dyed project to incorporate into other handcrafted projects during the expo or to save for a new project at home. If time and space allows we will allow you to dye more pieces but you will dye at least one during the class time. Your kit comes with 4 oz of Indigo Dye and instructions to replicate the entire process at home.
Class Kit: $55 (INCLUDES – ½ yard of 120wt Cotton Woven, ½ yard of 150wt Cotton Woven, 1 Flour Sack Tea Towel, 4” Acrylic Circle Shibori Template Set, 6 Clothes Pins, Rubber Bands, 1 Set of Rubber Gloves, Shibori Indigo Dye Instruction Booklet, and 4 oz of Shibori Indigo Dye to be able to replicate mother batch of dye at home.)
Supplies Needed: An Apron or Smock to protect clothing.

Simple AnglePlay Quilt

Skill Level: Appropriate for anyone who can sew a “nearly” straight stitch with a sewing machine and can cut safely with a rotary cutter.
Required Skills: Familiar with sewing machine you will be using and know how to use a rotary cutter.
Class Description: AnglePlay is a method of quilting that is easy enough for a first quilt, but fascinating enough to entertain even an experienced quilter. You will learn to cut around a template, how to assemble the pieces and even how to create your own designs! This project will consist of making borders to surround a photo printed on fabric. This is a great opportunity to give quilting a try. Each student will go home with the tools needed to keep quilting.
Class Kit: Cost $47; includes AnglePlay Set 1 (4 templates plus idea booklet), Photograph printed on fabric (emailed to instructor prior to expo if possible), Fabric strips, Batting, and Backing to complete project.
Supplies Needed: Sewing machine with thread, needle and bobbin (wound). Any neutral or wildly colorful thread is fine. Scissor or snips for trimming threads. Rotary cutter with a new blade, cutting mat (rotating mat is desirable). Straight edge acrylic ruler. (instructor will have rotary cutters, blades and mats available for sale if needed)
Age Restriction: This class is not really appropriate for children under 10 unless they have plenty of experience sewing already. Anyone under 12 must have adult on the project

Skiving Machine Basics

Class Description: Hands on skiving and sewing experience with leather. The class will teach basic skiving knowledge (sharpening the blade, and how to adjust the skiver for different leather weights). Skive your own leather piece for your card holder. You will be able to complete the project on your own domestic sewing machine.

Class Kit: $15, will include all materials needed.
Supplies Needed: Students will need to provide their own sewing machine, thread, and leather machine needles size 18/110 (The needles required is based on the sewing machine that will be used to sew the leather)

Totally Iron-On Wall Hanging
