18” Mini Wood Plank

10 Minute Serged Table Runner

Class Description: Learn to make a fast easy table runner for any occasion/holiday using the four thread overlock stitch on a Babylock Serger. You’ll learn how easy it is to thread a Babylock serger using the jet-air feature. This also makes a great gift. Fabric for the project will differ from those seen in the example/announcement photo(s).

A Tiny Taste of Machine Embroidery

Class Description: This class will take you beyond the basics of embroidery to what’s next! Learn tips and tricks of the trade to elevate your embroidery projects. Discover tools that will help you to create designs more efficiently and with a higher quality. Uncover a wide range of fabrics to showcase your designs better. Gain an understanding of how to market yourself and products in a professional manner. Finally, move on from basic in the hoop projects and learn all kinds of new and different projects that are out there. We will apply the lessons learned and practice stitching various projects!
Class Kit: Cost $32; includes all fabrics needed, zipper, snap, foam batting, polyfill, stabilizer, and all designs for the gnome and wallet. Designs will be sent to you at least 1 week prior to SME; please have them pre-loaded onto your machine for the class.

Adventure Into Dino Crafts

Class Description: “Cretaceous” your very own Dinosaur backpack in this class that’s unlike any you’ve ever seen before. Answer trivia with Lukeasaurus Rex in order to embark on your very own crafting adventure. You will embellish one pre-made backpack with dinosaur spikes. There will be a no-sew option (glue gun) and simple-sew option for beginners.

Alkebulan Reversible Tote

Class Description: In class you will learn how to sew a reversible tote with no hardware. You learn how to use sew-in foam, create a drop in lining, box the bottom corner, construct a divided slip pocket, simple handle construction and more.

All About Patches

Class Description: This patch class will guide you step by step in creating a finished patch that you can use on various items. We will start will using the right stabilizer and materials, then onto using the correct fill stitch, and finishing with the outer stitch and backing. This will help you perfect your patches in a few simple steps.

All About Water Bottle Holders

Class Description: This class will walk you step by step through the fundamentals of machine embroidery. We will discuss various stabilizers, techniques, stitch types and projects, machine hacks, helpful tools, and so much more! We will apply the lessons learned and practice stitching various projects! This class is part presentation, part hands-on. Topics will cover: types of stabilizer, float vs hoop, fabric selections for embroidery, Fill/Sketch vs Applique vs ITH, Types of threads, Color Changes, Embroidery software for merging designs, Machine hacks, tools to help, scissors, and selling items. Three projects will be made and completed in class.
Class Kit: Cost $27; includes all designs shown (applique gingerbread, sketch gingerbread, and heart earrings), felt, vinyl, hardware for earring, and stabilizer. Designs will be sent to you at least 1 week prior to SME; please have them pre-loaded onto your machine for the class.

CanCan Organizer
Teacher: Julie, Off The Wall Quilt

Skill Level: Appropriate for anyone who can sew a “nearly” straight stitch with a sewing machine.
Required Skills: Familiar with sewing machine you will be using in class
Class Description: It’s a fun and easy project that makes great gifts or even a great item to sell at craft shows. The kits will contain pre-cut pieces so that you can fo-cus on sewing and assembly, but you’ll also receive a full pattern so that you can make it again later. The organizer can stand alone but works even better over a 28/29 ounce can like tomatoes or pumpkin come in. Everything included in the kit except for the can.
Class Kit or Materials: Cost $22; includes Can-Can pattern, all fabric & stabilizer cut to size for one Can-Can Organizer
Supplies Needed: Sewing machine with thread, needle and bobbin (wound). Any neutral or wildly colorful thread is fine. Scissor or snips for trimming threads. Bring a 28/29 ounce can to finish your project or get one later at home.
Age Restriction: This class is not really appropriate for children under 14 unless they have plenty of experience sewing already (there’s one spot where we’ll hold our breath, tap our heals together and stick out our tongues). If under 12, there must be an adult on the same project.
Circle Skirt

Class Description: Women love twirling around in skirts! The Circle Skirt provides a flattering look to all shapes with comfort. This sewing workshop will teach you how to make an easy circle skirt with no zipper! This will allow you to create a perfect look that you can wear every day to match you different styles! With its versatility you can add a little spunk to your style.
Materials: 3 yards of non-directional stretch fabric (lycra, jersey, knit, spandex, etc)

Class Description: If you ever want your shoes to match – cover them with fabric! This class will teach you how to upcycle an old pair of shoes and cover it with your choice of fabric.

Creating & Coloring Molds with Pigments & Epoxy
Teacher: Deana Janowsky

Class Description: In the class, you’ll be completing a small mold with fast setting resin. Starting with coloring the mold to enhance design, mixing, coloring, and pouring the epoxy, working to get bubbles out as epoxy begins to set in mold.

Class Description: This class we will be making a dog collar that will fit a dog with a 6in to 10in neck and a 6ft leash. We will give directions for how to figure out your dog’s size so that you can make more at home that will be to your dogs fit but in this class all will be the 6-10 inch collar. The material will vary from the one in the picture.

Class Description: Hands on class to learn tips and tricks about applying edge coat. Walk away with a wristlet that we will edge coat in class and assemble, as well as tools to apply edge coat and product for edge coat.

Class Description: Learn to use your embroidery machine to make an in the hoop project! Cases are made in your hoop without any extra sewing and use snaps and eyelets to attach hardware. Hand sanitizer case fits bath and body 1oz sanitizer. Lips balm holder fits a standard size lip balm. Cases will be made using the Glitterbug Fairy vinyls. You will learn how to follow an in the hoop design, stitch a project on your embroidery machine, use plastic snaps and install eyelets.

Needle Felted Pumpkin with Ears

Class Description: Prepare yourself for cuteness and fun! Join us to learn needle felting, which is the process of sculpting wool into different shapes and artistic designs using special barbed needles. During this class we will learn the basics of this art and create a fall pumpkin. Add ears to make it even more adorable.

Quick and Easy Pillowcase

Class Description: We will be showing you how to make this super flattering raglan style hoodie with the ever popular French Terry knit fabric. We will be making the shirt length version with a lined crossover hood and convenient in seam pockets. Please note this pattern is drafted for an hourglass figure and is a RELAXED fit.
Class Kit: Cost $67; includes all fabric for project (designed by Salty Sews) that is pre-cut to requested size and pre-washed in All Free and Clear detergent, and access to download the pattern from 5 out of 4 Patterns. Sergers will be provided for use during the class by The Sewing Studio.

Class Description: In this class you will learn how to create a medium size rope bowl. Making sure you get the technique to create different sizes for future projects. It is a very simple and fun project, yet very versatile giving you a wide range of options to create your own.
Materials: One pack of 3/16” Diamond-braided clothesline (insert link to preferred), scissors, tape, matching thread to the rope, basic sewing machine, pins

Sahara Dress

Class Description: Join us for this hands-on class for the sleeved version of the Sahara dress by Bella Sunshine Patterns. If you have been wanting to try your hand at dresses, this is a perfect pattern to start with and we can’t wait to help you through! In our class you will have hands on guidance from us on how to easily accomplish this game changing skill. We promise you will love how quickly you can master this dress, plus you and/or your little will love how twirly this dress is it is!

Simple AnglePlay Quilt
Teacher: Julie, Off the Wall Quilt

Skill Level: Appropriate for anyone who can sew a “nearly” straight stitch with a sewing machine and can cut safely with a rotary cutter.
Required Skills: Familiar with sewing machine you will be using and know how to use a rotary cutter.
Class Description: AnglePlay is a method of quilting that is easy enough for a first quilt, but fascinating enough to entertain even an experienced quilter. You will learn to cut around a template, how to assemble the pieces and even how to create your own designs! This project will consist of making borders to surround a photo printed on fabric. This is a great opportunity to give quilting a try. Each student will go home with the tools needed to keep quilting.
Class Kit: Cost $47; includes AnglePlay Set 1 (4 templates plus idea booklet), Photograph printed on fabric (emailed to instructor prior to expo if possible), Fabric strips, Batting, and Backing to complete project.
Supplies Needed: Sewing machine with thread, needle and bobbin (wound). Any neutral or wildly colorful thread is fine. Scissor or snips for trimming threads. Under The Sea Applique
Teacher: Julie, Off the Wall Quilt

Skill Level: Appropriate for any level. No sewing required.
Required Skills: Willingness to use your imagination and try something different
Class Description: We’ll use templates to create manatees, sharks, or turtles and then we’ll cut freely to form grass and coral. Each wall hanging will be unique. We start with a 44 x 18 inch base which may be trimmed down as desired.
Class Kit: Cost $47; includes Steam a Seam Lite 2, Fabric, One Template (Manatee, Fish, or Turtle, but additional templates available for purchase)
Supplies Needed: Sharp Scissors, pen or pencil
Age Restriction: Ages 8+, and anyone under 12 must have adult on same project

A video tutorial on how to signup for classes will be released a day prior to signups opening.
